Celebrating “Every Tongue” posted by Shirley Beattie on Sep 19, 2016

“Every nation equipping
every people group and
every age group to
witness to every person.”

That is EE International’s Vision Statement and for over 50 years, we’ve been diligently working to fulfill the mandate of the Great Commission by training church leaders to equip the saints for the work of evangelism. Here at EE USA, we don’t have to go far to reach the people groups … this melting pot we live in is a mission field of just about every tribe and tongue! We love hearing stories from the various ethnic churches that are using EE to reach their communities with the good news about Jesus. Here’s a look at the Hispanic ministry.

Hispanic EE is coordinated by Antonio Zafra, with assistance in the Hope for Kids training by his wife, Erika Garcia. Together, they cover the whole USA, training churches how to equip soul-winners. In the last 12 months, they trained this number of churches: 25 in Share Your Faith Workshops; 26 in Everyday Evangelism launches; 5 in XEE launches; 27 in Hope for Kids launches.

Antonio attended his first clinic in Bogota, Colombia in 1998 and immediately knew this is what God wanted him to invest his life in. He continued EE training and by 2012, he had settled in the US and joined the EE USA staff as a local representative in Rhode Island. In 2014, he was appointed Coordinator for the Hispanic Ministry in the US, and moved to NC to work out of the HQ office.

The goal for the US Hispanic ministry is to have 2,000 churches actively using one or more EE ministry tools in the next 10 years.

To accomplish this, we will need to add 15 local missionaries and work with the already trained churches to show them how to reach out to others and multiply their impact in their communities.

Part of this initiative involves Local Teams – groups of church and business people who love Jesus, meeting regularly to encourage the ministry workers, giving guidance, practical support and financial assistance to enable the ministry to grow in their community.
