Children in Haiti say YES! to Jesus… posted by John Sorensen on May 10, 2018

In a remote village called Thomazeau in Haiti, dozens of children gather together to learn more about God. Each week, EE’s regional director, Bazner teaches them a lesson from the Bible.

Until recently, Bazner had focused on training adults. Then he changed his strategy. By reaching children first with the Gospel, they would reach their families, and as a result, entire communities will be impacted. He started a school and invited a Hope for Kids team to train 13 teachers from 5 different churches how to use the program. He plans to use Hope for Kids as part of Bible curriculum at his school.

The problem? All the Hope for Kids booklets in Haiti had been destroyed by several hurricanes that had hit the region during the past several years. Without any books in the native language, our team had to get creative. They used colorful posters and activities to show the teachers how to reach their students for Christ.

After Bazner learned the basic Hope for Kids outline, he immediately put it into practice in Thomazeau. The first week, 50 children accepted Christ as their Savior. The next week, 11 more joined them.

This is only the beginning. We have seen the impact of Hope for Kids around the world. As children share the Gospel with their families, their communities will be impacted.

Hope for Kids is just one of the many programs EE uses around the world to share hope with people who otherwise may never hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. More than 11 million people professed faith in Jesus last year alone as a result of EE ministry worldwide.

But we can only continue to support programs like Hope for Kids with your help.

Right now, your gifts will equip twice as many people to share the Gospel! We have an incredible opportunity provided to us by a generous donor. Between now and June 30, every dollar given to the Great Commission Fund will be matched up to $250,000. That means, twice as many lives will be changed for eternity!

Researchers estimate that two billion people on earth today have never had the chance to hear the Gospel. But we can do something about it. If every Christian on earth knew how to share their faith effectively, we could reach them and accomplish the Great Commission in our lifetime!

We need your help to reach every nation, tribe, and tongue with the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Your gifts empower people in communities like Thomazeau to share hope with the people around them. Your gifts equip pastors to train the people in their churches to share the Gospel, and your gifts reach children, families, and communities with the Good News, every dollar transforms lives!

Please make your most generous gift today.

Last year, EE spent less than a dollar for every person who made a profession of faith. And right now, every gift to the Great Commission fund will be doubled, dollar for dollar, up to $250,000, between now and June 30.

As you give, you partner with us in equipping the Church to take the Gospel to those who have not had the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for joining with us in this amazing effort!

Together in His service,

Rev. John B. Sorenson, D.D.

President/CEO

PS: Take advantage of this $250,000 Matching Challenge before it expires on June 30. Every gift is doubled and every dollar goes twice as far to equip believers around the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us today.
