Fear of Questions posted by John Sorensen on Apr 09, 2018
Do you fear witnessing because you’re afraid of being asked a question that you may not be able to answer?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. If you’re not sharing your faith because of fear of being asked a difficult question, let me take some heat off. I’ve shared the Gospel many times where I didn’t encounter a hard question. But, here’s a suggestion for if you do run into one. First, listen to the entire question and make sure you understand it. You could even repeat the question to guarantee you heard it correctly. Secondly, credit the person for asking it. You might say something like, “That’s a great question.” Or “I’m so glad you asked that.” Then if you know how to answer it, go ahead and answer it. But, if you don’t know the answer, be honest and tell them you’ll look into it and then set up a time to meet again. We’re here to help with our Answers to Tough Questions resource available at sharelife.today. You can read it and even download it at ShareLife.today.
