Joey, the Church Visitor posted by John Sorensen on Dec 07, 2017
Does your church encourage members and visitors to fill out a church attendance form on Sunday morning? What do you do with them?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Joey and Heather had just moved to Georgia after Joey completed his tour of duty in Afghanistan where his job had been to find IED’s and landmines. New to the area, they visited a local church and filled out the visitor’s form. It wasn’t long before church members, Keith and Ronnie, came knocking on their door. They explained that the purpose of their visit was to help people know how they could have eternal life. What they couldn’t know, but God knew, is that since returning from Afghanistan, Joey, had been struggling with a fear of death. So, there among the unpacked boxes, Joey heard the Gospel and prayed to receive Christ. And if you ask him about it, he’d smile and tell you about it with joy. Have you ever visited a church visitor? Why not give it a try. For more tips and tools, visit us on-line at ShareLife.today.
