Have you heard about Openly Secular Day?  Well, tomorrow will represent a new “coming out” as nonreligious Americans are being encouraged to celebrate their nonbelief.

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  To celebrate the day, nonbelievers are being encouraged to take the “Tell One Person” pledge – meaning tell at least one person about their secular identity.  Now, when I read this, I couldn’t help but wonder if those wanting to “come out” would be more enthused about telling someone about they’re “secular identity” than we Christians are about telling people about Jesus and all that He’s done for us.  So, what if we accept a different challenge and tell somebody about our identity as believers in Christ.  You may not encounter someone who will be taking the Openly Secular challenge, but if you do, I encourage you to listen respectfully and then ask them to let you share what you believe and why you believe it.  And if you need help knowing what to say, visit ShareLife.today and watch our video that tackles the objection, “I don’t believe in God.”
