Ruby’s Story posted by John Sorensen on Jun 11, 2018

When an EE team approached Ruby in April and asked her if she believed she would go to Heaven, she said it was too late. “I don’t think God would accept me because of what I’ve done.”

After her father was murdered several years ago, she had been told that he would have lived, if only she had prayed. In her anger, she cursed God. Although she felt guilty for what she said, she didn’t believe God would ever forgive her.

As Anthony listened to her story, he could not remain silent. He shared that his own father had been murdered when he was just five years old and explained that God was willing to receive her back with open arms.

Ruby listened intently. Tears fell from her cheeks as she prayed for forgiveness and to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

The week spent at a Classic EE Clinic in Las Cruces, New Mexico was Anthony’s first encounter with EE. He had just joined Mission to the World and wanted to find out more about how to effectively connect pastors and churches with missions work.

“We had fun with the people we spoke to, and it was helpful to see how effective personal evangelism can be when done in a non-threatening way.”

Anthony plans to continue witnessing one-on-one in his community and hopes to encourage missionaries who plan to travel overseas to do the same.

Classic EE is one of the many ways that EE equips Christians around the world to share their faith. By God’s grace, every training we do changes people’s lives. Individuals meet Jesus for the first time. Those who participate learn how to take the Gospel and share it with people they meet for the rest of their lives.

But we cannot continue to equip people like Anthony without partners like you.

We have a tremendous opportunity right now to use your gifts to equip twice as many people to share the Gospel effectively. Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar you give to the Great Commission Fund will be matched up to $250,000 between now and June 30. That means, you can impact twice as many people when you support EE!

Every day, we are one day closer to Christ’s return—that’s one day less to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and give the people around us the opportunity to accept the free gift of Heaven.

Will you help us reach them today with the Gospel?

When you give, you share the Gospel with people like Ruby—individuals who do not believe they deserve Heaven. You can make a difference in the lives of people around the world right now! Your gift today equips pastors and laypeople within the church to share the Gospel in their communities. No gift is too large or too small. Every dollar transforms lives!

And right now, every dollar given to the Great Commission Fund is doubled, up to $250,000. But this challenge won’t last forever. To double your impact, your gift must be received by midnight, June 30—that’s just a few weeks away.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership to equip ordinary people, just like you, to take the Gospel to hurting people around the world. Don’t wait to make a difference. You can make it today. Thank you for joining with us in spreading hope!

Together in His service,

Rev. John B. Sorensen, D.D.

President/CEO

PS: Take advantage of this $250,000 Matching Challenge before it expires on June 30. Every gift is doubled and every dollar goes twice as far to equip believers around the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us today.
