Here’s a reminder of a witnessing tip I’ve given before and some listeners’ comments.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. You’re in a restaurant and your server has just finished taking your order. Try using the server’s name and say, “We’re just about to pray for our meal and we’d love to pray for you. Is there something that you’d like us to include in our prayer?” Often they’ll give you something specific but if not, just assure them that you will pray for them in a general sense. Then leave a Gospel tract with your generous gratuity. Janie tried this and Jordan received Christ and has visited Janie’s church even bringing a cousin. As Janie puts it, “all from asking if we could pray about something when she waited on our table and left a tract.” Tom shared that he’s been “surprised at how many times servers have shared very personal hurts and problems they are going through.” Ben suggested, “If the server is young, I ask if they are going to college and I pray for studies and future career.” Want to try this tip? We’ll send you a few free tracts at ShareLife.today.
