TV Special Showcases Kids Reaching Kids for Christ posted by John Sorensen on Jul 30, 2012

EE works—for both adults and for kids.  A new TV special from EE aired recently across the U.S. showing just how well Hope for Kids, our joint outreach with OneHope, works in bringing children to Jesus. If you missed the program, you can watch it in the video player above.

“Pathway to Hope,” a brand new EE-produced TV special showcases what God is doing across the globe through Hope for Kids. It aired July 28 and 29 on Truth in Action Ministries’ nationally aired Truth That Transforms television program.

We are very grateful to Truth in Action Ministries for this fabulous opportunity!

The Pathway to Hope TV special samples three special people whose lives have been touched by Hope for Kids. We go from a shantytown outside Pretoria, South Africa, to Fiji, to inner-city Chicago to show how Hope for Kids is bringing the transforming power of Christ to children everywhere. You’ll be fascinated by what God has done in the lives of Mojalefa, Selai, and Travis through Hope for Kids.

Our original Hope for Kids plan was to reach 20 million children by 2015 by equipping two million children to share the Gospel with 10 of their friends.  By God’s grace, we’ve blown past that goal and have reset with a new goal of training 6 million to reach 60 million by 2015.

Kids make great evangelists. Given age-appropriate training, their amazingly retentive minds and infectious enthusiasm make them powerful agents to reach other young hearts with God’s love in Christ. They aren’t plagued by adult inhibitions and don’t have the same problem we grown-ups often have in breaking the “sound barrier.”

And children are probably the most receptive audience for the gospel. Statistics show that the majority of Christians come to Christ between the ages of 4 and 14. So, if a child receives the Gospel and is equipped to share the Good News, then the Gospel goes everywhere they go.

With Hope for Kids, millions of children have the opportunity to hear that Jesus loves them and they also learn how to share their faith so that they know the joy of seeing their friends come to Jesus too.

You can help us continue this work by giving to Hope for Kids today!
