The Tomb is Still Empty posted by John Sorensen on Apr 07, 2017
Have you told anyone why you believe that Jesus rose from the dead?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Here’s some evidence for the resurrection that you can use at Easter or anytime. Consider the empty tomb. You know the story. Jesus body was placed in the tomb and sealed with a massive stone. Roman guards were to guard it. But on Sunday morning when the women arrived to anoint the body, the stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty, and the angel told them, “He is risen.” We know excuses immediately began that the body had been stolen. But for the next 40 days Jesus appeared to men and women. They touched Him, they ate with Him, they walked the road to Emmaus with Him. 500 people even saw him at the same time leading skeptics to say that they were hallucinating. But in the history of hallucinations there is no record of 500 people having the same vision at the same time.
