One of the ways the Holy Spirit brings conviction into our lives is through the Bible.

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  This Biblical story has convicted me.  Tucked away in 1 Kings 7, is a story of four unnamed men with leprosy who were starving to death.  In an amazing turn of events, they entered a camp that had just been deserted by the Syrian army the night before.  To their amazement they found mounds and mounds of food.  They carried some home and came back for more.  While this was going on, many of their friends and relatives were also facing starvation.  Conviction came to them.  Listen what they said to each other:  “What we are doing is not right.  This is a day of Good News and we are keeping it to ourselves.”  So they went and spread the good news and lives were saved.  Today is the age of the Gospel – the Gospel is Good News.  I need to encourage myself, and I encourage you…”This is a Day of Good News.”  Let’s not keep it to ourselves.
