A God of Surprises posted by John Sorensen on May 27, 2014
The Bible says to be prepared with an answer for the hope that is in us. And I think that is so important because we never know when God will drop someone in our lives to share our faith with. It happens all the time.
I just heard a story from one of our training events in Kenya, Africa. Africa is nothing like the States in that most of our training events are held outdoors. So during this event, a man was walking by on the nearby dirt road, interested in this group that had gathered. An EE field worker and a teammate got up to meet him and connect with him. They found a table in the shade and fifteen minutes later the man, named Paul, made a profession of faith in Christ. Paul is on the left in the photo.
We have a God of surprises whether He’s bringing the Israelites to the edge of the Red Sea and then miraculously parting it, or he’s dropping a total stranger in our midst. EE prepares you to be ready to share in a moment’s notice. For training, visit evangelismexplosion.org/training
