Did you know that when we put our trust in Jesus, we are given a new citizenship? We no longer are just residents here on earth, we have an eternal destination. And even more than that, we belong there! Our home is there. One day, we will be with the family of God in Heaven forever; but until that day, we strive to obey the One who purchased that citizenship for us. That was none other than our Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ. He humbly came as an infant—meek and mild—to become the perfect sacrifice. And as His children, we have an opportunity and privilege to share His great love with those around us! And what better time than this—when even those who don’t know Him celebrate His birth. So this Christmastime, ask a friend if you can share with them the true meaning of Christmas. Or mention to a family member how you have eternal hope in Christ.
