Field Staff
WHAT DOES A FIELD STAFF MEMBER DO?
Local staff representatives of EE USA are missionaries, known as Implementation Field Workers (IFWs). He/she Practices EE, Promotes EE, Plans EE and Partners for EE within a specified area, approximately 100 miles in radius. The primary goal is implementing EE tools in at least 15 churches per year. Implementation is defined as completing the first semester of one of our tools (with on-the-job training). The IFW raises funds for salary and ministry expenses.
Assumptions:
• IFWs develop long-term relationships with local pastors and their congregations
• Effectiveness increases with concentrated ministry within a specific locale
• IFWs become local experts assisting pastors with the task of equipping the saints for evangelism and discipleship
• IFWs find encouragement and support for their ministry from the relationships they build and nurture in their local area
• IFW will build a ministry team around him or her. Prayer support is crucial as well as several pastors (EE practitioners) in the IFW’s locale, who will offer encouragement and assistance
Qualifications:
• Give testimony and evidence of being a mature evangelical Christian demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit, Gal. 5:22-23
• Give evidence of effective and fruitful EE ministry
• Exhibit a pleasing personality, motivational gifts, and inter-personal grace
• Present adequate references and recommendations including the endorsement of home church pastor
• Be committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through spiritual multiplication, Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Tim. 2:2
• Be a self-starter demonstrating leadership abilities
• Able to relate to pastors and churches of diverse denominational affiliations
• Willing and able to cooperate with the leadership and policies of EE
Responsibilities:
Practice:
• Regularly share the gospel as a way of life
• Annually train others through on-the-job training in a local church EE ministry
Promote:
• Develop relationships with and be a resource for pastors and churches in assigned area
• Be knowledgeable of and represent all EE tools: Share Your Faith Workshops,
Everyday Evangelism, Classic, Hope for Kids, XEE, Prison, Intercultural and Deaf
• Recruit and assist churches to schedule and organize EE training events, in coordination with EE USA’s Training Department and the appropriate EE Ministry Coordinators
• Assist pastors and their churches with the implementation and on-going health of EE
Plan
• Report to immediate supervisor in written or verbal form as required
• Develop measurable goals and objectives in cooperation with regional EE staff and supervisors
Partner
• Raise support and ministry funds through Ministry Partner Development
• Develop a local team to provide prayer and ministry support
• Attend all staff meetings and conference calls as required, including the National EE Summit
Relationships:
• Maintains a healthy relationship with God and an exemplary Christian testimony
• Maintains a healthy relationship with immediate family members as applicable
• Functions as a responsible member in good standing of a local church
• Participates in the EE ministry in a local church
• Reports to immediate supervisor, Regional or Ministry Coordinator
• Relates well and communicates clearly with all EE staff and ministry contacts
Orientation and Training:
Application process includes: application, reference checks and telephone or personal interview
Qualified applicants attend “Discovery Week,” at the Arden, NC office, at their own expense. This week provides orientation for potential new staff
• Following Discovery Week successful participants are appointed as Missionary Candidates
• Attend Leadership Development Training and all other staff training
Finances:
• Salary, benefits and ministry budget goals are set in consultation with the supervisor
• Salary and ministry funds are raised by the IFW via Ministry Partner Development
• Assignment begins when 100% of the monthly fund goal + a 4-month missionary fund balance are achieved
• Personal support funds are then to be maintained per the Missionary Fund Balance Procedure
• Funds raised are subject to an administration fee of 15%
