A jail inmate walked into an EE Chaplain’s office and said,  “I’ve never read the Bible, never been to church.  I’m facing 5 years in prison, let’s talk.”

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  As you can imagine, the Chaplain was only too willing to let the inmate share his story, and then he asked if he could share his story which included how God had changed his life.  While the inmate didn’t pray that first day, he was open so the Chaplain suggested, he start to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  Well, when the inmate came back the next week, the Chaplain was surprised to see that he had a notepad with a whole list of questions.  So, they went through them one by one and before long, the inmate prayed to receive Christ.  After months of weekly Bible study, the transformation was so noticeable that the wife of the inmate made an appointment with the Chaplain, and he led her to faith right then and there.  Does your church have a prison ministry or desire to start one?  We can help.  Just visit sharelife.today to learn about Prison EE.
