When you see someone you love who needs help, what do you do? You come running! What about when you haven’t seen a loved one in a long time? You run! The same is true with the father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son. When the son finally came back after a long time of squandering all that he had, the father was actually looking for him, waiting for him to come back. When he saw his son, he didn’t hesitate – he ran to his child and their relationship was restored. This, of course, is a beautiful picture of our relationship with God. While we squandered what He gave us, He waited patiently, drawing us back to Him. When we accepted Jesus, He came running. Remember this if your child is running from you or from the Lord. Be ready with open arms to take them back and show them the same grace that’s been given to you! It might not be easy, but the Gospel is always worth it. For more, visit ShareLife.Today.
