Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

“…When the shepherds had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” I am sure that long before this Christmas Eve, you have heard these verses before, but let’s focus in for a moment. At just the right time, Jesus came to this earth, humbly and quietly as a child. All of Heaven had been anticipating this moment and like wildfire, the news spread across the country because the shepherds told everyone who would listen about the child. Everyone who heard the news was amazed! Have you ever thought, though, “what if the shepherds had kept quiet?” Our world would be very different. In fact, Heaven would look much different if they had kept silent. Now here’s the question for you and me…what if we remain silent?
