EE U.S.A. Hope for Kids Ministry Coordinator Dies at 46 posted by jwatson on Nov 14, 2012

Shawn Howell, EE Ministry Coordinator for Kids’ EE and Hope for Kids U.S.A., was attending an EE leadership training event at The Brook, the EE U.S. Training Center in southwest Missouri, when he became ill. It’s believed his death on November 6, 2012 was a result of complications with diabetes.

Shawn leaves behind his wife, Marla, and five children.

Shawn and Marla were married in 1991 and immediately felt called to work in children’s ministries. In August 2011, God called Shawn and Marla to serve with Kids’ EE and the EE Hope for Kids U.S.A. ministry.

Shawn loved children and was a dynamic force in training children to share the Gospel with others. His impact will continue far forward.

Please pray for Marla, her children and the extended family. Please also pray for our EE ministry family as many EE staff knew Shawn and served with him.  We also covet your prayers as we seek the Lord’s will for Shawn’s replacement as the Coordinator for Kids’ EE and Hope for Kids U.S.A.
