In the beginning, our world was perfect. God created the earth, the sun, the universe…and He said that it was good. When he created Adam and Eve, He made them as perfectly as the rest of His creation. However, Adam and Eve were given a choice, and instead of obeying God, they listened to the enemy and chose to disobey. Sin was born into the world, and everything was no longer perfect. Oh, what heartbreak this world went through when there became a separation between God and humankind. But God had a plan. He made a promise to Adam that a descendant of His would crush the head of the devil. In Acts thirteen, it says, “From the descendants of this man, according to promise, God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus.” And God Himself came as a baby that first Christmas to live the perfect life that we couldn’t and die on the cross for our sins.
