Whose job is it to prepare someone to listen to the Gospel?

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  From my experience, many, if not most, Christians think it is their job to prepare a person to listen to the Gospel.  And God answers this question for us in the Bible.  In Matthew 9 Jesus gives his disciples some great insight into the spiritual harvest:  He said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”  Jesus is clear that the harvest is already prepared and plentiful.  The Lord has already taken care of that.  The issue of concern is the paltry number of harvesters:  they are few.  We do not need more preparers of the harvest…or more pray-ers for the harvest…we need more participants actively engaged in the harvest.  Are you a prepared  participant in the Lord’s already prepared harvest field?  We’re here and happy to help with a host of tips and resources designed to help you.  Visit us at ShareLife.today.
