God’s Love Builds Bridges posted by John Sorensen on Feb 11, 2019

Do you realize that God is in the business of reconciliation? Just recently, a sweet couple was trained in Evangelism Explosion after coming to know the Lord. Sunny and Roshna graduated from their EE classes and immediately began sharing the Gospel. They were converted to Jesus from their former religion, and, do you know where they started sharing the Gospel? At their former place of worship! Roshna said as they shared their story, the one they developed and practiced in their EE training, you could hear a pin drop! The name of Jesus was being preached, with love, in a place His Name had never been! If that’s not bridging the gap, I don’t know what is!

Jesus’ love bridges the gap between our sinfulness and God’s righteousness. Aren’t you glad that through Him, we can have Eternal Life because He made a way for us? There are so many stories in the Bible where Jesus urges us to bridge the gap and reconcile sinners to God!

In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus tells us the story of a Jewish man who was hurt badly, and someone you never would have expected to help, actually helping. When Jesus told us about the Prodigal Son, He told us a story of a strained relationship between a kind Father and his wayward son. Ultimately, the Father welcomed his son back with open arms! This shows the love of our Heavenly Father bridging the gap between the lost, and His open arms!

Romans 5:10 says “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!” So, not only have we been reconciled, but we get to continue to walk through this life as partners with God, leading others in love and righteousness!

You see, the Father loved you so much, that He sent His one and only Son from Heaven to earth so that we could be reconciled to Him. He came to us! He closed the space between us that we could never close without His love!

So, what can we do to bridge the gap? Have you seen lost loved ones who need some help getting to the Father? Where were you in life when the Lord Jesus knocked on your heart’s door? Do you know anyone else in that same place who needs to hear about His great love? Ask God to give you opportunities to share the Gospel of reconciliation and love!

This is our focus this week at Evangelism Explosion through our social media channels and our daily broadcast. We’re focusing on how God’s love reconciles us to Him!

Have you downloaded our EE Helps app in the App store? This is something you can use on the go to help share your faith! We also have tracts available at ShareLife.Today. These are great tools to help you share the love of Jesus. May God richly bless you as you walk in the love of Jesus Christ!
