Gratitude or grumbling. Which of these characterizes you.
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. The Bible has a lot to say about both and there’s a connection between this topic and being a witness. I would suspect that if you’re a grumbler, any exhortation for you to become an active witness for Christ would be met with, well, grumbling. Gratitude is prominent in the Bible and should be in us as well. Gratitude is based upon the belief that God is good, sovereign and in control of all things. It’s grounded in trust, not incircumstance. Gratitude leads to a greater appreciation for the Good News of the Gospel. So, attention all grumblers – ask the Lord to change your heart to a heart of gratitude. And attention all gratituders – gratitude is the best breeding ground for you to become a Gospel witness.
