Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

God’s desire is that new believers grow in their faith. One key element to spiritual growth is prayer. After someone prays with you to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives, it’s important to talk to them about prayer. Explain to your new friend that prayer is not a mysterious practice.  It’s simply conversing with God in simple language from the heart and expresses our love to God, our gratefulness to Him for eternal life, and asking Him about the various needs that arise in our daily lives.  Philippians four verse six reminds us to not be anxious about anything and in every situation to present our requests to God. Even in days like we are in now, full of uncertainty and despair, we can feel the peace of the Gospel in our assurance of salvation and our access to God through prayer. Who can you pray for today?
