Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

As we have been spotlighting stories from different continents each week, I hope you have been encouraged by what is happening around the world. This week, we will be hearing stories from Africa. Can you imagine being a pastor in a pandemic? One young pastor from Kenya experienced the closing of his church under very strict government regulations. He invited six of his members to come to his house to be discipled in how to share their faith. They met twice a week because everyone’s schedules were now wide open; and after each session, they would go out and share the Gospel. Always following the regulations of distancing and wearing their masks, they found an openness and hunger for hope as they talked to the people in their community. Out of the twenty-eight days they went out, many people came to Christ each time. And this was just one home group in Kenya! Throughout Africa, thousands of people were trained and millions of people gave their hearts to Christ through Christians like these. Learn more at share life dot today.
