I hear people say all the time that you need to build friendships to share the Gospel.

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  The problem is that too often friendship evangelism never gets beyond friendship.  In fact, the longer you know someone, the harder it is to share the Gospel.  I bet you can think of people in your life right now for whom that applies, and you may even be wondering how you’ll bring the Gospel into a conversation now. Well, let me make some suggestions.  Over the years, my wife and I have become more intentional about sharing our faith with our neighbors and friends.  My wife will make a pie or cake, and we’ll invite people into our home, where we get to know them and share the Gospel.  We’ve hosted several Bible studies for neighbors and have seen dozens commit their lives to Christ.  And beginning a conversation about Christ is as simple as sharing your own personal story or testimony.  If it’s been a while since you’ve shared your testimony and you need help brushing up on it, visit ShareLife.today for our free on-line testimony building tool.
