It’s America’s 242nd Birthday!  Dare I say that I remember celebrating our bi-centennial?  Hi, I’m John Sorensen, president of Evangelism Explosion International for Share Life Today.  I bet some of you remember America’s 200th Birthday as well, and I’m sure you’d agree that a lot has changed in four decades—and not necessarily for the better.  Today I can’t help but think about our freedom and how some people are trying to rewrite America’s history—deleting any reference to our Christian heritage.  But it’s that Christian foundation that has made us the envy of the world—and it’s why people are still trying desperately to get here.  So, as you think about your freedom today, I’d like to encourage you to use it to share your faith with someone.  No one can take the freedom that we have found in Jesus Christ away from us or anyone else.  If you need help sharing your faith, visit sharelife.today for great tips and tools to help you do that.
