When sharing your faith, who do you say Jesus is?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Now, I hope that like Thomas, you would say that Jesus is “my Lord and my God.” But if someone challenges you, can you defend your claim that Jesus is God? Here are a few helpful tips and Scriptures that I hope you’ll find easy to remember. You can start with the example of Thomas. Jesus didn’t argue with Thomas when he said, “my Lord and my God.” On the contrary, Jesus accepted Thomas’ worship. In John Chapter 10, Jesus says, “I and the Father are One.” And in Chapter 14, He says, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” Of course, there’s John Chapter 1 verse 1 which very clearly states Who Jesus is. “In the beginning was the Word (meaning Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word was God.” That verse very clearly states that Jesus is God. So don’t let this question stop you from sharing your faith. For more tips and tools and even a video on the topic, Is Jesus God?, visit our website at ShareLife.today.
