At first glance, some one-liners seem right on target.  “Let go and let God” is one such phrase.  But is it?

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.   Don’t rush in…don’t break down the door seems to be the idea.  Sit still until God acts and then you can go.  The problem is that this phrase is not in the Bible, nor is it in the teaching it contains.  Jesus often uses the word GO.   Whenever He does, GO is a call to action.  Ironically, “let go and let God,” is a call to inaction.  This slogan has been used to justify a Christian not engaging in personal evangelism.  “I let go and am letting God.   When God takes His action, I’ll go.  But, Jesus tells us the opposite.  He says, “GO into all the world and preach the Gospel.”  God promises to GO ahead of us preparing people to listen.  God’s “GO” is taking place.  It’s time for you and me to GO into action.  If you need help knowing how to “Go” and share the Gospel, visit ShareLife.today.
