Makset is Free! posted by John Sorensen on Dec 05, 2012
We within the EE family are extremely thrilled, and relieved, at the release of Makset from prison Tuesday, December 4th. And we are very grateful for the work of staff members and leadership for their role in speaking to officials, visiting him in prison, taking care of his family, and standing with him during this difficult time.
In particular I would like to thank Dr. George Roller, our Director for the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington, D.C., and Dr. Frank Wright, an EE Board Member, for their many hours in appealing to and working with the State Department, leaders from the former Soviet Union, and Members of Congress, many of which wrote very passionate appeals for Makset’s release. Mostly, I’d like to praise and thank our God for His compassionate Hand toward Makset and his family.
Thank you for joining us in prayer. Let us pray that Makset and his family will find a home where they can celebrate Christmas this year, and that they can find a significant role in service to our Lord in the coming days. It is truly a day for rejoicing!
