So you’ve shared your faith in Christ with your friend, but they weren’t ready to make a profession of faith in Christ.  Don’t be discouraged.

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. When you share the Gospel and your friend isn’t ready to take the next step, well that’s ok.  You were faithful to witness to them.  God takes care of the rest and He doesn’t always do it on our timetable.  In this case, He’s kept the door closed to your friend’s heart for today, but that doesn’t mean that it will be closed permanently.  So, don’t pressure them but also don’t give up on them either.  I mean, think about it, how would you feel if you found out someone was only your friend as long as you went along with their game plan?  Find something that you both like to do and let them know that you still care about them.  It demonstrates your interest in them and could build a friend for life, and eternal life as you commit to share life today.
