One Excuse is as Good as the Next posted by John Sorensen on Apr 26, 2017

Over the years, we’ve heard many excuses for why Christians don’t share the Gospel.  Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International.  Dr. D. James Kennedy, founder of EE, loved this illustration.  He would tell it after responding to some of the popular excuses for Gospel-silence.  A farmer purchased a new, state-of-the-art plow, cutting his plowing time in half.  Soon after that, a neighboring farmer stopped by asking if he could borrow the plow.  The plow-owner replied, “I’m sorry.  That’s not possible.  My wife’s combing her hair with it.”  Shocked and surprised, the potential borrower exclaimed, “Your wife is combing her hair with your plow?!?!  The reply, “Not really, but when you don’t want to do something, one excuse is as good as the next.”  It’s not my gift…I’m too shy…I witness by my life…are all excuses – and every time we use one, the devil grins.  So, let’s abandon the excuses.  If you don’t know how to share your faith, we’re here to help.  We’ll even send you a few free tracts to get you started.  Visit us at ShareLife.today.
