Our Heavenly Hope posted by John Sorensen on Oct 15, 2021

As we conclude our week on finishing strong as Christians, we cannot leave this topic without considering our Heavenly Hope. We must look to Jesus and look away from all others. Have you gazed closely at this One you call your Savior? Do you see how seriously He took this race? Alone Jesus stood at His trial. Alone He endured the agony of Gethsemane. Alone He endured the wrath of God. And alone He took the greatest shame the men could think of. In Deuteronomy (21:23) it says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”. You see, He didn’t ask us to do that. In Matthew twenty-eight twenty (28:20), Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” The Christian life is so costly; but I’m telling you, dear listener, it is also so, so important. And you’ve been called to persevere. You’ve been called to run this race. You’ve been called to finish strong. For more information and encouragement, visit our website at share life dot today.
