Pastor, Feel Like a Failure? You’re Not Alone. posted by jwatson on May 24, 2013

Pastor Raj is like many pastors. He is hard working. He absolutely loves and embraces his relationship with Jesus and radiates that spirit among his congregation. He has a deep concern for God’s Great Commission, and he spends time in prayer and Bible study seeking God’s wisdom and discernment on a daily basis. One other important point; he feels like an utter failure.

With a small congregation of 20, Pastor Raj tried many different approaches to strengthen his congregation and also to grow his church, but nothing worked. Months and even years passed without success and he reached bottom, wanting to pitch all of his fruitless efforts into the sea and quit ministry.

And then he learned of the Evangelism Explosion training.

A new beginning

Desperate for his own calling and for the life of his church, Pastor Raj went through the training at the EE training center campus in Fiji. During this training, Pastor Raj met other attendees that represented 14 different nations. Many of them had experienced similar frustrations, but it didn’t take long for all of the clinicians to realize that a miracle was taking place.

During their on-the-job training, the clinicians shared the Gospel 198 times with local Fijians and experienced 124 professions of faith in Christ. Pastor Raj was invigorated for his calling, his life and his ministry and knew he had discovered the one tool he needed to strengthen and equip his small congregation and grow his church. He alone prayed with 28 individuals who professed Christ as their Savior.

That’s the beginning of Pastor Raj’s story. Do you need a new beginning? Visit evangelismexplosion.org/training to revitalize your ministry.
