“He still loves me, regardless of what I did or how many times I turned my back on Him.”  Kenny was lying in the trauma room of a hospital as he said – and believed – those words, that Jesus loves him no matter what. Kenny had run for years from the Lord, despite God’s relentless pursuit of him. Finally, in the chaos of a hospital room after a nearly fatal fall on ice, he says he found a quiet place in his mind, asked God for forgiveness…and received it! Philippians four verse seven says that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Kenny found that peace after years of running from God.
