Praying for the Lost posted by John Sorensen on Mar 09, 2020
The Lord wants us to come before Him in prayer for anything we need. He desires a relationship with us and prayer is a big part of that.
This year, already, we’ve seen so much tragedy, natural disasters and death. While we should certainly be praying for our world and all the devastation we have seen, we need to be praying people would find healing through the power of the Gospel.
As we look forward to May of this year, I want to encourage you to pray for the lost that you specifically can reach with the Gospel.
It’s so important for us to lift unbelievers up to the Lord in prayer. We should be burdened for those who don’t know Him and that should motivate us to pray and to witness!
I challenge you to participate in GO2020 with EE this year. We want every believer to become a witness in 2020 and that starts with you! Visit ShareLife.University to take our online course that will help you get started. We want you to become a confident witness for Jesus.
1 John 5:14 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” This is great news for Christians praying for the lost because we know that it’s God desire for us to know Him!
How can you best pray for the lost? Set time aside each day to do it. Pray for their hearts to be prepared to hear the Gospel and softened towards God’s Word. Look for opportunities to share what you have learned through our online course and other EE classes, and speak up!
This is our focus this week at Evangelism Explosion through our social media channels and our daily broadcast. We’re focusing on praying that people would come to know Jesus and that He would use us to be a part of that.
May God richly bless you this week as you pray for the lost all around you!
