Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle says that to be effective, the Gospel must be spoken and not just demonstrated:

“People don’t need just good deeds, they need good news.”

“The Gospel is not something that can be shown – it must be said.”

“Good deeds without good words can lead to damnation.”
