Pride Surrendered To Peace posted by jwatson on Sep 25, 2015
When you enter into a conversation about the Lord and His transformational power, your testimony is integral in creating a personal connection and trust with someone. Here’s a testimony from WhatsMyStory.org we’d like to share with you today:
I know I have eternal life and I no longer have to feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, because God has it all under His perfect control.
I always felt like I had to be perfect. I needed to have everything under control. I was balancing two jobs as a full time student, and things were running smoothly. Then, in 2013 I realized that I wasn’t invincible and I needed help. My boyfriend broke up with me, and a month later I found out that my dad was diagnosed with skin cancer. I needed God to strengthen me, and in that I had to let go of my pride. My pride was telling me I could do it on my own, but I knew that my life was out of control. I found peace in knowing that I don’t have to be perfect because I already serve a God who is.
I live for that peace I received and I know it was by grace that He poured out His love for me. I am confident that when hard times come I have nothing to fear because I know I have eternal life in Christ Jesus.
Things get in the way of God’s plan for your life to challenge and grow you. I learned that the biggest obstacle was myself.
