Purpose Through Grace posted by jwatson on Dec 04, 2015
When you enter into a conversation about the Lord and His transformational power, your testimony is integral in creating a personal connection and trust with someone. Here”s a testimony from WhatsMyStory.org we”d like to share with you today:
Before I accepted Christ in my heart I was hopelessly drifting into a terrible existence founded in drugs, alcohol, and self-serving actions.
I often wondered about what would happen after I died, I was terrified of the possibility of not existing; so, I often used that fear as a motivator to push my substance abuse further and to see people as a means to my ends.
I then felt the power of Christ in my heart after attending church with my children.
Purpose through Grace
I learned that there is more to this life and a greater purpose on which to strive to reach; I found a direction in Christ and no longer fear the possibility of nothingness or hopelessness.
It is better everyday; I no longer fear that my life is pointlessly leading to an eternal nothingness. I live everyday freer and I can enjoy my family and the people around me without worrying about what I can do to make it better.
If were to die today I know I would go to heaven because I am living for His Glory and by His strength, I am not longer trying to power my own existence with my fear.
