Reaching Hindus posted by jwatson on Oct 30, 2012

Pastor John is of East Indian descent and has a heart for reaching the Hindus of Fiji with the Gospel. He lives in a two-room house with his wife and five children. All of them were trained to make eyeglasses through EE’s Glasses for Missions (GFM) ministry.

GFM provides prescription reading glasses for people who couldn’t read otherwise. This leads to the more important ministry, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor John and his team traveled to a small village in the hills for a scheduled clinic. Word spread rapidly about the free eyeglasses and a large crowd gathered. Once people heard the Gospel, they were ridding themselves of Hndu rituals and giving their lives to Christ!

Following the clinic, Pastor John shared how difficult it has been to reach the Indian people who are scattered across many miles. But the Glasses for Missions ministry peaks their interest and gathers them together where clinics are conducted. Pastor John is looking forward to all the lives that will be changed among the Hindus of Fiji.
