Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Each week, we have been hearing testimonies from Christians around the world. This week, we are spotlighting the vast continent of Oceania. What makes Oceania so unique is it is made up of both large and small islands found throughout the Pacific Ocean. Last year, many of these countries managed to keep the COVID-nineteen virus out completely. However, this made it difficult for churches to meet and discipleship in evangelism to take place. Through the past year, they have seen a tremendous improvement in their ability to use the internet and connect over long distance. And by the grace of God, they were able to do six online trainings — whereas before twenty-twenty, many church leaders had no idea how to even use a computer. This has opened up different ways to disciple and share the Gospel in Oceania. And it has unified Christian leaders throughout the Pacific in a way that hasn’t been able to happen before, and through that unity, the Gospel is going forth.
