Have you longed to see someone come to Christ and perhaps been moved to tears as you’ve prayed for them faithfully over the years?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. I think many of us can relate, and today I’d like to offer you encouragement from God’s Word. Psalm 126 verse 5 says that, those who sow in tears will reap in joy. And we know that sowing in the Bible often refers to the act of planting seeds. So as you pray for someone to come to Christ, are you also talking to them about what God has done in your life and what He can do for them as well? The very next verse in Psalm 126 tells us that the one “who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, . . .” Just think, God may use your tears to soften the soil of someone’s heart, allowing them to hear and understand the Gospel. You know, God doesn’t need us, but He gives us the privilege and the joy. For help sharing your faith, we’ll send you a few of our Eternity In Your Hand Gospel tracts. Visit ShareLife.today.
