Spiritual Growth posted by John Sorensen on Jul 25, 2018
So you just shared the Gospel and the person you shared with prayed to receive Christ. Now what?
I’m John Sorensen, president of Evangelism Explosion International for Share Life Today. There are times we witness to people and we don’t get to see them again so we entrust them to the Holy Spirit. But there are other times where we are able to follow up with the new believer and we should. You can arrange to meet at Church on Sunday or Wednesday night, or you can ask them if they’d like to meet for coffee, or even if you could stop by their house for a visit. If at all possible, you don’t want to leave that new child of God on their own. You want to nurture them and help bring them up in the Lord, just like we do our children. But when you meet, what do you talk? Well you can talk about the means of spiritual growth, which are: Bible reading, prayer, worship, fellowship and witness. We’ve developed a handy resource for this very purpose called Partners in Growing. We’d be happy to send it to you. Just visit sharelife.today.
