Today, some Americans are celebrating Openly Secular Day – a day to declare their nonbelief. What will you be celebrating?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Today, nonbelievers are being encouraged to stand in solidarity and tell at least one person about their secular identity. Now, if a friend decides to confide in you that they are a nonbeliever, take it as a sign of trust. Don’t belittle them or make fun of their nonbelief. Rather, listen to them and then ask if you can tell them why you ARE a believer in Jesus Christ. And remember 1 Peter 3:15 that says, “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” I encourage you make today a day to celebrate your belief and share your testimony with someone. If you need help, visit ShareLife.today. You can even watch our new video that tackles the objection, I don’t believe in God.”
