What happens if you’ve shared the Gospel and the person actually wants to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior? Then what? Explain to your friend what saving faith is – it’s not temporary. Saving faith believes in Christ and surrenders to Him and fully trusts in Him. Ask if they are ready to turn from their sin and rely on Jesus. If they are ready, offer to lead them in a prayer confessing that they’re a sinner in need of a Savior. You can help them ask for forgiveness and for Jesus to become Lord of their life. It’s important to note that repeating a prayer doesn’t save you, faith in what Jesus did for you is what saves you! Prayer is just an outward expression of your faith in what Christ has done for you. Accepting Jesus as your Savior is very personal, and no one can do it for you, so don’t force a prayer. It’s your job to share, it’s only the Lord who saves. For more, visit ShareLife.Today.
