Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
In the cold tundra of northern Kazakhstan, you can find small cities with populations of roughly fifty thousand. For one teacher with Evangelism Explosion, this seemed like an opportunity. He packed up his belongings and headed to one of these small areas. Christianity was not common in this frozen region. In fact, in that city, there were only two churches! He offered to train both congregations and pastors in how to share their faith, and they welcomed him with open arms. The EE teacher stayed and discipled them; and one day, he and his trainees visited a family to share the Gospel. At first, the husband did not want to hear it as he claimed he was a staunch atheist. But after listening to their conversation, he said, “I have never heard about God in such a clear manner.” Then all five people—husband, wife, and children—gave their hearts to Christ. The churches were overwhelmed. They told their teacher, “We never knew it was this important to share the Gospel!” Learn more at share life dot today. (:58)
