The Gospel Opens Other Doors posted by jwatson on Aug 30, 2013
Our heartbeat is to equip people with the Gospel and let that spread like wildfire. In the process, God moves people to do other amazing things.
Hazel Sam is a villager in the Solomon Islands. During her training in the Hope for Kids ministry, she was excited about equipping children with the Gospel, but she felt an additional calling from God. “God placed a burden on my heart to not only train children in Hope for Kids but raise their educational level at the same time,” recalls Hazel.
Following the training, Hazel visited those in her village about the vision God had given her. With help from her husband, they launched a pre-school in January of 2011, which is remarkable in this Third World environment. Two-and-a-half years later, the school now has 110 children from two different villages and three full-time teachers.
One of the main subjects continues to be the Hope for Kids training. And children are learning much more. “I praise God for what He has done,” Hazel says. “EE International and Hope for Kids have made a difference in our community.”
That’s the power of the Gospel in one person.
