What happens when we keep good news to ourselves?
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Here’s an example. Picture the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Rev. Tom Stebbins a missionary to Vietnam, who later will become Vice President of EE.Because Tom speaks fluent Vietnamese, he’s asked to help as a translator during the U.S. Embassy’s evacuation. In the meantime, Tom has arranged for 40 –50 Vietnamese pastors and their families to be flown out of Saigon. But when the airport was bombed, he told one of the pastors to tell everyone to go to the port and board a ship instead. Sadly, the pastor didn’t believe there was a ship so he didn’t spread the word. As a result, the pastors were forced into hard labor and some died. You know, this as an example of what can happen when we keep good news to ourselves. If you need help sharing the best news of all, visit ShareLife.today.
