Time is running out to take advantage of an amazing $250,000 Matching Challenge. posted by John Sorensen on Dec 14, 2016

With time running out in 2016, I’m writing you with an urgent reminder – and to give you an incredibly exciting announcement. First, this reminder:

Time is running out to take advantage of an amazing $250,000 Matching Challenge. It comes from a generous friend of Evangelism Explosion who is offering to match every gift made before December 31, up to $250,000.

That means your gift of $150 automatically becomes $300 … $100 turns into $200 … even $50 multiples to $100. And if we meet the match, a total of $500,000 will be unleashed to train believers like you and others to share Jesus around the world. But here’s the thing. The Matching Challenge expires on December 31 and when it does, your opportunity to see your gift doubled will be gone.Double Your Impact

That’s why I’m asking you now to please make your most generous gift today. And let me quickly give you one example of what your gift will do.

It comes from a high-risk neighborhood in Chicago’s inner-city. That’s where Krysta is struggling to raise her children, Kristina, 6, and Kristopher, 7. A good mom, she sends them to an after-school program called By The Hand. It’s a safe zone which nurtures the whole child–mind, body and soul. And one way it does that is through Hope for Kids, an EE outreach which equips children to share Jesus. Little Kristina and Kristopher love it. So much so they burst through the door at home, eager to share what they’ve learned with their mom.

One day the children performed a worship song for Krysta they learned at Hope for Kids.

But this was not just any song. It was one Krysta used to sing back when she attended church something she hadn’t done in many years. Tears filled her eyes as the lyrics and memories flooded back.

And that changed her life. “I decided to go back to church and give my life to the Lord because of seeing my kids praising and worshiping God!” she said.

Because of you and friends like you, Kristina and Kristopher now get to grow up in a godly home. That’s just one story-and there are millions more – demonstrating the difference you make when you give.

So what is the incredibly exciting news I mentioned above? Well, as I write, EE is getting very close to our goal of seeing 11 million people profess faith in Christ this year!

It’s more than ever before and only possible because of friends like you. In countries across the continents, moms and dads, grandparents, little children, students, retirees, laborers and professionals have all reached out their hands in faith to accept the free gift of eternal life.

But we’re not there yet. That’s why I am asking you to partner with EE now to reach this historic goal, finish 2016 strong, and stride into 2017 with full momentum. Will you help?

And let me assure you that your gift now is one of the most cost-effective investments you can make in the growth of God’s kingdom. The reason is this: based on last year’s figures, EE spends just $1.21 for every person we see come to faith. That’s almost unheard of in ministry and means your donation will make maximum impact to reach and save lives.

Please make your gift today. Take advantage of the $250,000 Matching Challenge before it expires on December 31. Don’t let this opportunity slip away to see your gift doubled and go twice as far to lead lost men and women to salvation. We urgently need your help now.

Thank you, on behalf of Krysta, Kristina, Kristopher and the millions you help reach when you give. Your compassion is making an eternal difference!

Finally, I want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas! Thank you, again, for standing with EE today.

Together, in His service,
