This week on Share Life Today we’re featuring Unsung Heroes of the Faith.”

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, president of Evangelism Explosion International.  Tom Stebbins was a career missionary to Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in 1975, when he served as a translator for the thousands evacuating through the U.S. Embassy.  Tom escaped on the third-to-last helicopter.  But as he stood on the deck of the US aircraft carrier, he wept because he couldn’t think of five people who he’d equipped to carry on the ministry.  Then in 1977 everything changed.  He attended evangelism training and learned how to equip people to share the Gospel.  He and his wife went to Hong Kong and they established the first Asian EE church, which led to people learning to share their faith throughout all of Asia.  Eventually they returned to the US and it was there that Tom led me along with so many others to the Lord.  Tom loved sharing the Gospel and is an unsung hero of the faith.  If you need help sharing your faith, visit ShareLife.today.
