What Are You Doing? posted by John Sorensen on Oct 23, 2019

What are you doing to get closer to the Lord? When you know Jesus, you should have the desire to know Him better and continually be in His presence. So, what are you doing to fix your eyes on Him?

There are five key means of growth that will help you in your walk with Jesus. As believers, it’s incredibly important to know His Word and know it well. So, our first means of growth is the Bible.

Just recently, EE’s Executive Vice President, Rod, talked to a woman named Ersi who said she was a Christian. Rod explained to her exactly what that meant and she realized, after looking at Scripture, that she still needed to make Jesus her Lord and Savior! After this, another EE employee, Tony, gave her a Bible and taught her how to read it. She was so excited to know Jesus and to be able to know Him better by reading His Word!

Next, we can have a closer relationship with God through prayer. Simply talking to Him. Praising Him for who He is and thanking Him for what He’s done. Asking Him for help and confessing our sin. All of these are essential to a thriving prayer life.

Thirdly, worship is essential to growing in our faith. Whether it’s corporate worship at your church or time alone praising Him, worship is key. Both types of worship are very important to your walk with Him.

Fellowship is a means of growth that can be easily confused. Fellowship is not saying hello to someone at church or sitting next to someone during corporate worship. It’s not talking about football at your church potluck! It is talking with fellow believers about what God is doing in your life and what He has already done!

Lastly, we should witness – share what a difference Jesus has made in your life! If you’re not sure how, we can certainly help.

This is our focus this week at Evangelism Explosion through our social media channels and our daily broadcast. Visit ShareLife.Today for resources and tools to help you disciple and be discipled.

May God richly bless you this week as you grow in your walk with the Lord.
