Why I Love Working with EE – Part 1 of 3 posted by Yuen Woh Voon on Mar 21, 2012

I would like to share with you something that has been a huge blessing to me for over 20 years. My life and service to God was radically transformed when I received the EE training.

In this series of blogs, I refer to EE either as a training tool or to the network of believers who use this tool.  Let me share with you why I would love to continue to work with EE.

I CAN HELP OTHERS FIND NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

At the heart of EE, is a believer sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with another person who needs to have peace with God. Whatever type of EE tool that is being used, and there are several now, a typical training event involves a conversation with someone who needs to hear the gospel.

I received my first training in EE in 1989, at the first Classic (previously called “Adult”) EE clinic in Malaysia. On the night of the 2nd OJT, my team visited a church member’s home and I took my turn to share the gospel presentation. I can still recall the joy as I led my friend’s father in prayer to receive Christ. Ever since then I have shared the gospel with many others both on and off training occasions.

To get involved in EE is to get involved in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It teaches that mankind is condemned because a holy God must punish sin. The good news (“gospel”) is that the same God is also loving and sent His Son into the world to die on the cross to pay the penalty of sin and to purchase a place in heaven for those who will put their faith in Him.

Whenever the EE gospel presentation is shared, the good news of Jesus Christ is shared. What a wonderful privilege to be able to play a part in the lives of men and women who are transformed by the power of God (Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16-17)!

I CAN MORE CAPABLY FULFILL MY ROLE AS PASTOR

The Apostle Paul explains that it is the responsibility of pastors to equip believers for the work of service (Ephesians 4:12) and other minstry gifts. As a pastor, my role is not to just do the ministry myself but to equip my congregation members to serve. And EE helps me to do just that.

As a tool, EE assists me to train and disciple my flock. Implementing EE has liberated my congregation to share their faith. It has given those trained a new found confidence to speak of spiritual things, allowed them to witness the miracle of “new birth” and for many, the joy of training others.

I plan to keep using EE because I can more capably fulfill my role as pastor.
